EXPERIENCE
RH Developers – (Independent Consultant/Contractor)
Denso Manufacturing, Maryville, Tennessee October 2003 – Present
I am assisting in support of AS/400 Applications and consulting on Lotus Notes and Visual Basic applications. I wrote web based Purchase Requisition database using Domino that interfaces directly with the AS/400. All the data for this application resides on the AS/400, access to AS/400 is performed using a Java based interface that uses SQL statements or calls ILE RPG programs. I assisted with the analysis and writing of the enterprise wide used order/shipping application.

Digital A. V. Knoxville, Tennessee September 2001 – October 2003
I am working for various organizations performing Web development. This work was performed in Domino using Java agents and custom written Java classes, JavaScript, and embedded HTML. I also created Web based applications using WebSphere version 5, and did Domino client development when needed. I have written various internet applications that required data interfaces between Domino and DB2, MS SQL Server, AS/400, S390, and Non-Stop Tandem. I also wrote MQ Transactions that would interface Domino with AS/400 and S390. The applications written were for various business side systems that allowed data entry and information viewing for web users. During this time I also rewrote an internal User Registration application which allowed internal personnel to register internal and external users and give access to applications that have been written on various platforms.

Ruby Tuesday, Inc. Maryville, Tennessee February 2001 – September 2001
I wrote Benefits Enrollment Web based intranet application for employee support staff. Provided Domino support and knowledge transfer to internal domino developers and company personnel. During this contract I assisted the internal Domino developers’ team, developed Ordering System for restaurants to use to order supplies. This system interfaced with external supplier to send and receive order information.

Denso Manufacturing, Maryville, Tennessee February 2001 – September 2001
I assisted in transitioning the workload from myself to three other developers. Transferring knowledge and providing support I continued to help upgrade Lotus R4.5 applications to Domino R5, implementing Domino Web based intra-net applications when needed for availability to all associates.

Denso Manufacturing, Maryville, Tennessee – (Senior Systems Analyst) April 1999 – February 2001
Upgraded Lotus R4.5 to Domino R5, implementing Domino Web based intra-net applications for availability to all associates. I wrote Purchase Requisition Database that performed routing, pre-approvals, authorization based upon management list, and automatic interface to AS/400 to automate data entry. This database also retrieved Purchase Order information from AS/400 and automatically notified any associate who had approved the requisition for the Purchase Order created. This database eliminated two temporary positions that performed these tasks manually. The Notes database handles approximately 1500 requisitions per month. I wrote Information Systems Service Request database to handle help desk calls, request for system changes, user profile requests, and requests of incident logs that required immediate attention from Information Systems. I produced Inventory Stock In/Out system using Visual Basic 6.0 that automatically relieved or replenished inventory database on AS/400. Also wrote truck check loading system using Visual Basic 6.0 for verifying truck shipment information from database on AS/400.

King Business Forms, Knoxville, Tennessee – (MIS Director) November 1998 - April 1999
I transformed System/36 RPG II code to RPG IV. Analyzed current readiness for Year 2000 and made recommendations toward starting to become Year 2000 compliant. This included heading up a team of four contractors performing conversion of code to Year 2000 compliance. Core business was custom business form development for each customer. I wrote a new Order Entry system to allow entry of distributor style orders and interfaced those orders to the Inventory, Billing, and Commission applications. This allows them to begin to pre-make certain products for sale to their distributors.

Sea Ray Boats, Inc., Knoxville, Tennessee – (Senior System Analyst) October 1995 - November 1998
Started as Systems Analyst and promoted to Senior Systems Analyst. I performed Project Leader role for various projects. Core responsibility is for manufacturing applications. Support base for these applications include ten off site production facilities ranging from assembly line to custom production. I developed year 2000 automatic file conversion and program implementation process. Automatic file conversion dynamically determined what files and fields had changed and automatically wrote a program to convert data for the modified files based upon current production data. Using ACCELER8 DB as AS/400 middleware, I wrote Client/Server applications for remote TCP/IP connection in Visual Basic and Visual RPG. This was used by more then 1000 dealer personnel. These applications allow dealers to connect to AS/400 with GUI interface. They have the ability to enter and view their own Part Orders, Boat Orders, Warranty Claims, and allowed for inquiry in many other application areas. I interfaced various Java applets into Lotus Notes Applications.

International Textiles, Abbeville, South Carolina – (Senior Programmer Analyst) April 1994 - October 1995
By documenting current in-house software, as well as making recommendations for future software, I have performed cost reduction by eliminating unused physical and logical files for a one year cost saving of $45,000. Developed from concept to finished product a Production Scheduling system for Jacquard/BONAS looms which interface to AS/400; this reduced manual input by 50%. I completed an automated General Ledger entry system that interfaces Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory into MAPICS G/L. I also created an On-line Sales Analysis for users as well as a Catalog product inventory tracking system. This streamlined an on-line Order Entry & Invoicing system that allows for on-line Pick List, Invoice inquiries and reprints that allowed for the disposal of duplicate original hard copies. All projects have been developed in conjunction with users needs to complete system module.

Empire Vision Centers, Syracuse, New York – (Programmer Analyst) February 1993 - April 1994
I transformed System/36 software to Native AS/400 software. Analyzed current inventory and distribution system and rewrote in Native AS/400 improving speed and flexibility. Wrote interfaces for third party Preferred Care Billing system from EDI tape transfers. Supported IBM Personal Computers, software, and System/36 hardware and software used in approximately 25 store locations.

Fulton Companies, Inc., Pulaski, New York – (Systems Analyst) April 1990 - February 1993
Began as System Operator/Programmer and advanced to Systems Analyst in July 1991. Developed all in-house software for System/36 and supported MAPICS.
